We’re excited to partner with VetWise to provide our clients with access to veterinary professionals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, whenever our team is unavailable.
Just call our hospital at 506-532-8081 — day or night, whenever you need help or support! If you are not able to get through on our phone lines, you can call VetWise directly at 506-712-3034. VetWise has a team of Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) answering calls around the clock. During busy periods, your call may initially be answered by Nora, an AI agent, who will gather important information while your call is in the queue for the next available RVT. Nora helps prioritize urgent cases and reduce overall wait times. You can bypass Nora by asking to speak with the VetWise team directly. The VetWise RVTs can:
Triage your pet and help determine the appropriate level of care
Book an appointment directly with our hospital if your pet is stable and can safely wait to be seen
Facilitate an emergency transfer to the Riverview Animal Health Centre if your pet needs urgent care
Connect you with a New Brunswick-licensed veterinarian for a virtual consultation when appropriate, helping support your pet until our team is available to continue their care.
One important note: VetWise is based in Ontario, so if they call you back, the number will have a (647) area code. Don’t be surprised — it’s VetWise! We’re happy to have VetWise as an additional resource for our clients and our team, helping ensure you have access to veterinary support whenever you need it.
