The Team

Jennifer graduated from Nova Scotia Agricultural College in 1997 with a diploma in Animal Health Technology and successfully passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) that same year, becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. With nearly 30 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Jennifer brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and expertise to our hospital.

After years of caring for patients and mentoring fellow technicians, Jennifer stepped into the role of Office Manager in 2021. Highly organized, self-motivated, and always ready to tackle a challenge, Jennifer plays an essential role in keeping our busy hospital running smoothly. Her approachable and compassionate nature, combined with her ability to remain calm under pressure, makes her a wonderful source of support for both our team and our clients.

Although her role is now primarily focused on managing the day-to-day operations of the hospital, Jennifer’s passion for veterinary medicine hasn’t faded. You’ll still find her lending a helping hand in the treatment area whenever she’s needed! With her extensive experience and willingness to share her knowledge, she has mentored countless veterinary technicians over the years, earning her the affectionate nickname of our very own “Obi-Wan”!

Jennifer has also been actively involved in the veterinary technician community, having served for over 16 years on the Board of Directors of the Eastern Veterinary Technician Association (EVTA).

Outside of the hospital, Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors, indulging her love of all things sci-fi and Star Trek, and relaxing with her three feline companions, Yoda, Tilly, and Gobi.
