The Team

Dr. Rachelle Gagnon is a dedicated small animal veterinarian with a lifelong passion for animals. She graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI, in May 2007. After starting her career in Moncton, NB, where she practiced for a year and a half, she moved to Shediac and joined the Shediac Veterinary Hospital in January 2009. In October 2016, she became the proud owner of the practice.

Dr. Gagnon loves working with cats and dogs but has a special interest in pocket pets. She is also passionate about mentoring future veterinarians and enjoys speaking at Career Days at regional French high schools. Her leadership extended to the New Brunswick Veterinary Medical Association, where she served as a council member from 2018 to 2024 and as President from 2020 to 2021.

Outside of work, Dr. Gagnon is a devoted wife and mother of two. Her home is shared with her beloved pets: Merlin, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; Milo, a Ragdoll cat; and Cheddar, a dwarf hamster. In her free time, she enjoys camping and bicycling with her family, as well as indulging in her hobbies of board games, puzzles, quilting, and crocheting.

Her commitment to veterinary medicine, her community, and her family makes her an integral part of the Shediac Veterinary Hospital and the local animal care community.
